LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, as Neumann’s Emily DuPont and Marymount’s Chandler Eddleton earned Player and Defensive Player of the week honors.
Player of the Week:
Name: Emily DuPont
School: Neumann
Class: Junior
Position: Guard

Brief Outlook of Week: DuPont averaged 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds as Neumann went 1-1 in conference action. The junior shot 50% from the floor and went a perfect 7-for-7 from the line in the two games, while adding three blocks, two assists and two steals. DuPont netted 20 points and grabbed six rebounds in a loss at Marymount. She then netted 17 points and pulled down seven boards in a come-from-behind win over Gwynedd Mercy.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Chandler Eddleton
School: Marymount
Class: Senior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Richmond, Va.
High School: Collegiate School
Brief Outlook of Week: Eddleton averaged 4.0 steals per game in a 2-0 week for the Saints, including six steals against Marywood in a 74-40 win on Saturday. She also was a force in the paint, averaging 9.0 rebounds per game over the week. The senior also contributed 17.5 points per game.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Lynzie Eggers (Sr., Guard, Gwynedd Mercy): Eggers averaged 24.0 points per game, with 2.5 rebounds per game aand one assist in the two game week for the Griffins’. At home versus the Marywood she went for 23 points, two rebounds, and an assist. While against the Neumann, she totaled 25 points, three rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
