Marymount's Shackelford and Eddleton Sweep Women's Basketball Weekly Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, as Marymount’s Symantha Shackelford and Chandler Eddleton swept the weekly honors.

Player of the Week:
Name: Symantha Shackelford
School: Marymount

Brief Outlook of Week: Shackelford was named the Most Outstanding Player at the Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Marymount over the weekend. In a win over Worcester State on Friday evening, she led all scorers with 20 points and became the 22nd member of the 1,000-point club for Marymount women's basketball. Over three games last week, she averaged 17.3 points per game and went 12-of-13 from the charity stripe.

Name: Chandler Eddleton
School: Marymount
Class: Senior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Richmond, Va.

Brief Outlook of Week: Eddleton was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Pablo Coto Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Marymount over the weekend. Defensively, she had seven steals and a block in a 2-1 week for the Saints. She also grabbed 8.3 rebounds per game this week. For good measure, she added 19.0 points per game on the offensive end.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Carmen Escano (Gr., Forward, Centenary): Defensively, Escano recorded 5 steals and forced several other turnovers throughout both games. She also recorded 16 rebounds across both games.

Lynzie Eggerss (Sr., Guard, Gwynedd Mercy): Eggers led the Griffins in a 0-2 week versus Arcadia and Wilkes with 17.5 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, a pair of assists, and five steals. She was a top scorer in each affair; she totaled 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals against the Knights, then went for 21 points, six rebounds, two assists, and three steals opposite the Colonels.

Abigail Lentowski (Jr., Forward, Immaculata) - Lentowski averaged 14.5 points-per-game over Immaculata's two games this week. Scored 16 points, with eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal vs Haverford. Followed that up against Washington with 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and three steals.

Tessa Liberatoscioli (Jr., Forward, Immaculata) - Liberatoscioli, over two games had 23 rebounds (11.5 per game average), with 14 defensive rebounds, and three steals. She had 13 rebounds including 10 defensive rebounds and one steal vs Haverford College on November 14th. She registered a double-double on November 18th vs Washington College scoring 11 points, with 10 rebounds, four defensive rebounds, and two steals.
