Gwynedd Mercy's Eggers and Immaculata's Liberatoscioli Tabbed Women's Basketball Players of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, as Gwynedd Mercy’s Lynzie Eggers and Immaculata’s Tessa Liberatoscioli earned Player and Defensive Player of the week honors.  

Player of the Week:
Name: Lynzie Eggers
School: Gwynedd Mercy
Class: Senior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Washington Township, N. J.  
High School: Gloucester Catholic
Brief Outlook of Week: Eggers finished the 1-0 week for Gwynedd Mercy with a game-high 25 points on 7-of-12 (58%) shooting. She also added seven rebounds, a game-high five assists, and a steal. The Senior led the Griffins in the 67-54 win over Penn State Harrisburg.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Tessa Liberatoscioli
School: Immaculata
Class: Senior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Malvern, Pa.
High School: Great Valley
Brief Outlook of Week: Liberatoscioli led a strong defensive week for the Mighty Macs tallying 10 defensive rebounds, seven steals, and five blocks in a 1-1 week. Immaculata averaged allowing just 59 points per game. The senior also contributed 23 points and 16 total rebounds in the two games.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Alli Griscavage (Fr., Center, Marywood): Griscavage posted 16 points and eight rebounds in a 75-67 victory over Keystone. She provided her third consecutive game with double figures in scoring.

Lauren Klieber (Jr., Guard, Neumann): Klieber scored 29 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Neumann's lone game of the week. The junior went 4-for-4 from the line and hit three three-pointers in the loss at Widener.

Natalie O’Neill (Sr., Forward, Gwynedd Mercy) - O'Neill continued to attack the glass all game long as the league's leading rebounder finished a 67-54 win over Penn State Harrisburg with a game and season-high 17 rebounds. She also recorded six points, two assists, and two blocks.

Brie Opdyke (Jr., Guard, Centenary) – Opdyke had a big week for the Cyclones to lead them against Baruch. The junior finished the 1-0 week with 24 points, five assists. She also tallied two steals and seven rebounds in her 34 minutes on the court.
