Gwynedd Mercy's Eggers and Immaculata's Liberatoscioli Tabbed Women's Basketball Players of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, as Gwynedd’s Lynzie Eggers and Immaculata’s Tessa Liberatoscioli earned Player and Defensive Player of the week honors.  

Player of the Week:
Name: Lynzie Eggers
School: Gwynedd Mercy
Class: Senior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Washington Township, N.J.
High School: Gloucester Catholic
Brief Outlook of Week: Eggers averaged 26.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG, while recording three assists and four steals in league losses to Marymount University (L, 51-84 on Jan. 17) and Immaculata University (L, 72-75 on Jan. 20). She scored 23 points in the Griffins battle with the Saints and added three rebounds and four steals to her offensive efforts. A few days later, versus the Mighty Macs she matched her season-high with 30 points on 10-of-20 (.500) shooting and a 9-of-11 (.818) performance at the free throw line. Eggers also grabbed four rebounds and handed out three assists.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Tessa Liberatoscioli
School: Immaculata
Class: Senior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Malvern, Pa.
High School: Great Valley
Brief Outlook of Week: Liberatoscioli had a combined 16 rebounds with 14 defensive rebounds, three blocked shots, and 10 steals over two Atlantic East Conference games. She had eight total rebounds including seven defensive rebounds, with a blocked shot, and six steals to go along with 16 points and three assists vs Centenary on January 20th. She had eight total rebounds including seven defensive rebounds, with two blocked shots and four steals to go along with 11 points and two assists to help Immaculata to an Atlantic East Conference win over Gwynedd Mercy on January 20th.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Vatijah Davis (Fy., Guard, Centenary): Davis tallied 33 points, and 28 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Cyclones. The First year had a two double-doubles on the week with two assists and a steal.  

Chandler Eddleton (Sr., Forward, Marymount): Eddleton led Marymount with four steals in an 84-51 victory over Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday. Eddleton currently ranks second in the conference by averaging 2.4 steals per game.

Faith Kendricks (Jr., Guard, Marywood): Kendricks led Marywood to its first Atlantic East victory with a 17-point performance against Centenary. She also contributed with nine rebounds and six assists.

Abigail Lentowski (Jr., Forward, Immaculata): Lentowski had a combined 30 points with 23 rebounds, two assists, and three steals over two Atlantic East Conference games. She recorded a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds vs Centenary on January 17th. She had 14 points, with seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals to help Immaculata to and Atlantic East Conference win over Gwynedd Mercy on January 20th.


Kyla Treadwell (Sr., Guard, Marymount): Treadwell continues to excel in her senior season as she dropped 18 points in an 84-51 victory over Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday. She went 3-for-4 from beyond the arc and 6-of-10 from the field, as a whole. She also added two steals and an assist.
