Neumann's Klieber & Immaculata's Lentowski Named Women's Basketball Player of the Week Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, as Neumann Lauren Klieber and Immaculata’s Abigail Lentowski earned Player and Defensive Player of the week honors.  

Player of the Week:
Name: Lauren Klieber
School: Neumann
Class: Junior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Malvern, Pa.
High School: West Chester East
Brief Outlook of Week: Klieber averaged 25.3 points and 10.7 rebounds and scored the 1,000th point of her career. In a 65-47 win against Wilkes to open the week, the junior scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds. She followed with 31 points 11 boards in a 74-52 win at Penn State Brandywine. To wrap up the week, Klieber scored another 31 points, in which the 10th point of the game were her 1,000th. She also had 12 rebounds for another double-double.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Abigail Lentowski
School: Immaculata
Class: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Covington Township, Pa.
High School: Holy Cross
Brief Outlook of Week: Lentowski recorded a double-double vs Widener on December 9th. She had a career high 18 rebounds and three steals. She scored 25 points, shooting 11-for-15 (.733) from the field, 2-for-2 from behind the arc, and 1-for-1 from the free throw line.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Faith Kendricks (Jr., Guard, Marywood): Kendricks had a pair of double-doubles in a 1-1 week for the Pacers, averaging 17.5 points and 11 rebounds per game. She opened the week with 15 points, 10 rebounds and three steals in a 61-45 loss to Delaware Valley. Kendricks followed that with 20 points and 12 rebounds in a 61-51 victory over Penn College.

Vatijah Davis (Fy., Forward, Centenary): Davis was a leader both on the offensive and defensive side of the court for Centenary who went 2-1 for the week. The first year finished with 20.33 points per game and 13.33 rebounds per game. Davis added three blocks, eight steals, and one assist.  

Natalie O’Neill (Sr., Guard, Gwynedd Mercy) - O'Neill helped the Griffins to a pair of wins last week. She first recorded 12 points, 16 rebounds, an assist, and two steals in a 69-63 win over Albright, then provided 11 points, 8 rebounds, a block, and two steals to a 77-56 win over Lancaster Bible. Her double-double versus the Lions was her second of the season and the sixth of her career.
