LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week on Monday as Neumann’s Lauren Klieber and Chandler Eddleton of Marymount were named Player and Defensive Player of the Week respectively.
Player of the Week:
Name: Lauren Klieber
School: Neumann

Brief Outlook of Week: Klieber led Neumann to a 2-0 week in conference play, averaging a double-double 22 points and 11.5 rebounds. The sophomore netted 23 points and grabbed 11 boards in a 53-60 win at Marywood to start the week. She followed that up with 21 points and 12 rebounds in the 70-65 win over Immaculata.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Chandler Eddleton
School: Marymount
Class: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Richmond, Va. .
High School: Collegiate School
Brief Outlook of Week: Eddleton recorded five steals and grabbed 14 defensive rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Saints. The junior added five offensive rebounds to average 9 per game on the week. The held opponents to 44 points per game to pick up two conference wins for the week.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Miranda Liebtag (Sr., Guard, Cabrini): Liebtag led the Cavaliers in their 1-0 week over Marywood. She went 8-for-16 from the field, with 20 points and seven rebounds in the only game of the week. The senior also had two assists, two steals and three block shots.
Cayla Sharkey (Sr., Forward, Gwynedd Mercy): Sharkey in one game this week had a major impact on the defensive side of the ball. /She finished with a game-high six blocks and team-high seven rebounds. she also added a pair of points in the game as well.
Elise Sylvester (Sr., Guard, Gwynedd Mercy): Sylvester in one game this week finished with a game-high 23 points. She also added three steals and four rebounds to her stats.
Nicole Villalta-Barrantes (Fr., Guard, Cabrini): In Saturday’s win over Marywood the first year had eight rebounds, seven coming on the defensive side of the ball. She also added three steals, seven assists, and 11 points in the victory.
