LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Basketball Players of the Week on Monday, as Neumann University's Lauren Klieber earned Player of the Week and Gwynedd Mercy’s Cayla Sharkey was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Klieber averaged a double-double with 25.0 points and 13.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for Neumann. In a win at Rutgers-Camden, the sophomore netted points and 14 rebounds. Klieber went 9-for-10 from the free throw line. She followed with 23 points and 13 rebounds in a loss at Albright.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Cayla Sharkey
School: Gwynedd Mercy University
Class: Senior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Lansdale
High School: North Penn
Brief Outlook of Week: Sharkey was key defensively this week, in two games she finished with 7.5 rebounds a game with seven blocks as well. She also averaged five points a game and 4 steals. Defensively the Griffins held their opponents to an average of 50 points per game on the week.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Olivia Ciullo (So., G, Marywood): Ciullo averaged 15 points and 8.5 points per game to lead the Pacers to a 3-1 week and a Cross County Challenge title. She finished with two double-doubles against Rutgers Newark (20 points, 15 rebounds) and King's (16 points, 11 rebounds). Ciullo scored 17 points and made several clutch baskets down the stretch for a fourth-quarter comeback over Wilkes. She had eight points in a loss to No. 10 Scranton.
Abigail Lentowski (So., F, Immaculata): Lentowski scored 24 points and had 13 rebounds against Bryn Mawr on 11/15/2022, scored 10 points and had 4 rebounds against Haverford on 11/17/2022, and scored 13 points and had 16 rebounds against Alvernia on 11/19/20.
Savannah Purdy (Sr., F, Marywood): Purdy averaged 15 points per game to lead the Pacers to a 3-1 week and a share of the Cross County Challenge title. She reached double figures in all four contests. Purdy scored a season-high 18 points and nine rebounds in a win over Rutgers Newark. She had 15 and 13 points to down Wilkes and King's, respectively, in the Cross County Challenge. Purdy produced 14 points in a loss to No. 10 Scranton. She shot .478 from the field for the week.
