Marywood's Cavoli and Immaculata's Coleman Awarded Women's Basketball Weekly Award Honors

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday as Marywood's Megan Cavoli was named Player of the Week and Immaculata’s Carly Coleman was named Defensive Player of the Week.

School: Marywood
Class: Senior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Harrisburg, Pa.
High School: Central Dauphin
Brief Outlook of Week: Cavoli led the Pacers to a pair of Atlantic East victories with 18.5 points per game. She produced 20 points with six assists in a 63-53 victory over Gwynedd Mercy. Cavoli scored 17 points in a fourth quarter comeback win against Pratt. The Pacers propelled themselves to a 73-65 win thanks to nine fourth-quarter points from Cavoli. She was 10 for 11 from the charity stripe.

Defensive Player of the Week: Carly Coleman
School: Immaculata
Class: Sophomore
Position: Forward
Hometown: Springfield, Pa.
High School: Cardinal O’Hara
Brief Outlook of Week: Coleman anchored the Mighty Macs’ defense in a pair of Atlantic East Conference victories, totaling 22 rebounds (19 defensive), six steals, and three blocked shots on the week. She added strong defensive play in the post and on the perimeter, helping limit opponents in key stretches of both wins. Coleman recorded 11 defensive rebounds in each game, along with five steals and a block at Gwynedd Mercy after posting two blocks and a steal against Saint Elizabeth.


Weekly Honor Roll:
Meg Robbins, Immaculata:
Robbins recorded a combined 31 points on 13-of-15 shooting from the field, along with 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and one steal to help lead Immaculata to a pair of Atlantic East Conference victories this week. She opened the week with a career-high 14 points on Wednesday against Saint Elizabeth, adding three rebounds, two blocks, and a steal. She followed with another career performance on Saturday, leading all scorers with a career-high 17 points while pulling down seven rebounds in a road win at Gwynedd Mercy.

Cara Vollmer, Marymount: Vollmer put up 15.5 points per game in Marymount's week of action, shooting 45% from the floor, 47% from beyond the arc. Vollmer added five steals, four rebounds, and two assists to her credit, adding to an impressive week for the guard.

Emily DuPont, Neumann: DuPont averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and six assists in a 1-1 week for the Knights. The 5th year scored 21 points and handed out six assists in a 70-58 win over Marymount. In a 72-63 set back to Saint Elizabeth, she had a double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds while also adding six assists. 

Kylie Grant, Pratt: Grant was the offensive catalyst for the Cannoneers, averaging 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in two tightly contested home games. In a last-second loss to Centenary, she posted a double-double with a team-high 17 points and 10 rebounds. She followed that with another team-leading 18-point performance against Marywood, shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.

Anabela Jakelic, Pratt: Jakelic was a dominant force on the defensive end, averaging 16.0 rebounds, two steals, and one block over two games. Against Centenary, she grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds (11 defensive) while adding three steals and two blocks. She followed that with an identical 16-rebound performance against Marywood, controlling the paint and consistently limiting the opposition's second-chance opportunities. For the week, she posted two massive double-doubles, averaging 13.0 points to go with her defensive efforts.

Ahjionae Cobb, Saint Elizabeth: Cobb scored 20 points while dishing out four assists, and grabbing four rebounds, in a win at Neumann. Against Immaculata, she scored 12 points while dishing out six assists and grabbing four rebounds.
