Immaculata's Grillo and Neumann's DuPont Score Women's Basketball Weekly Honors

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, as Immaculata’s Abby Grillo was named Player of the Week and Emily DuPont of Neumann was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: Abby Grillo
School: Immaculata
Class: Freshman
Position: Guard
Hometown: Wilmington, Del.
High School: Padua Academy
Brief Outlook of Week: Grillo made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut, leading Immaculata to an 81–56 victory over Moravian in the Mighty Macs’ season opener at Alumnae Hall. Grillo poured in a game-high 26 points on an efficient 10-for-14 from the field, including 3-for-6 from three-point range, while adding three rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. The Wilmington, Del., native recorded an outstanding field goal percentage of 71%

 

Defensive Player of the Week: Emily DuPont
School: Neumann 
Class: Fifth Year
Position: Forward
Hometown: Malvern, Pa.
High School: Great Valley

Brief Outlook of Week: DuPont scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Neumann opened the season defeating Penn State Brandywine 60-47. She went 8-for-8 from the line and added four blocks and two assists in the Knight’s win.

 

Weekly Honor Roll:
Olivia Ettorre, Immaculata:
In Immaculata’s 81- 56 season-opening win over Moravian on Saturday, Ettorre tallied a game-high seven rebounds, including five defensive boards, and recorded an impressive five blocked shots to go along with 14 points and two assists. 

Catie Kolwey, Marymount: Kolwey started her 2025-26 campaign in a big way, dropping 19 points against The University of Lynchburg on Saturday evening. Adding nine rebounds for the Saints, she narrowly missed out on a double-double. She added three steals and three blocks to her line.

Ahjonae Cobb, Saint Elizabeth: Cobb scored 31 points in the season opener that saw the Eagles beat Penn State Berks by a score of 81-50. She added six rebounds, three assists and one block to her tally.

Elyssa Russo, Saint Elizabeth: Russo had 10 rebounds from the guard position. She also had one steal and one block, playing an impact on both sides of the ball, dishing out 13 assists and scoring 8 points.
