Immaculata's Coleman and Marymount's Kolwey Receive Women's Basketball Weekly Award Honors

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday as Immaculata’s Carly Coleman was named Player of the Week and Marymount's Catie Kolwey was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: Carly Coleman
School: Immaculata
Class: Sophomore
Position: Forward
Hometown: Springfield, Pa.
High School: Cardinal O’Hara
Brief Outlook of Week: Coleman led Immaculata to a pair of conference victories with an outstanding, all-around performance in which she totaled 29 points, 23 rebounds, 15 assists, one blocked shot, and one steal, while shooting a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line for the week. On Wednesday, at Neumann, Coleman recorded a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, finishing the game without a single turnover and adding one block to her tally as  Immaculata earned the road victory. She followed that effort with a dominant triple-double on Saturday against Gwynedd Mercy, scoring 17 points while adding 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Coleman posted a +34 plus/minus in the 90–61 win.

Defensive Player of the Week: Catie Kolwey
School: Marymount 
Class: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Hollywood, Md.
High School: Leonardtown
Brief Outlook of Week: Kolwey continued to dominate on the court, helping Marymount to a 2-0 week in conference play. The junior averaged 10.5 rebounds per game, totaling 21 across the week, with six blocks and two steals. On the offensive end of the court, she averaged 17.0 points per game, with 20 against Centenary. In Wednesday's win over Saint Elizabeth, she notched yet another double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. 


Weekly Honor Roll:
Erin Eisenhart, Gwynedd Mercy:
The Griffin captain averaged 11.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and three assists, while totaling two blocks and six steals in a 1-1 week against AEC opposition. In the win over the Cannoneers, she recorded 16 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and three steals before posting nine rebounds, eight of which were defensive, with three steals in a loss to Immaculata.

Meg Robbins, Immaculata: Robbins anchored Immaculata’s defense in a pair of conference victories, recording 13 rebounds, five blocked shots, and three steals over two games. In Wednesday’s road win at Neumann, Robbins collected eight rebounds (five defensive) while adding one blocked shot and one steal. She followed that performance on Saturday against Gwynedd Mercy, pulling down five defensive rebounds while tallying four blocked shots and two steals.

Kaylah Barr, Marymount: Barr was a difference maker for the Saints in their 2-0 week in conference play. Averaging 17.5 points per game, the sophomore guard shot 52% from the floor. She added six rebounds, two steals, and two assists to her line in the successful week of action. 

Megan Cavoli, Marywood: Cavoli led Marywood to a pair of Atlantic East victories with 15.5 points and four assists per game. The Harrisburg, Pa., native opened the week with 22 points and six assists in a victory over Centenary. Cavoli followed that with nine points — all scored as part of a second-half 58-46 comeback against Pratt. Cavoli shot .462 with a perfect 6-for-6 from the line for the week.

Emily DuPont, Neumann: DuPont averaged 16.5 points and nine rebounds as Neumann opened conference action 1-1. In a 75-55 loss to Immaculata, she scored 13 points, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked three shots. The fifth-year followed with 20 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double in a 61-41 win at Saint Elizabeth.

Anabela Jakelic, Pratt: Jakelic was a dominant force in Pratt's first week of conference play, recording a double-double in both contests. She averaged 15.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, three blocks, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 56% from the field. Jakelic opened the week with 14 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals against Gwynedd Mercy before following it up with 16 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and three steals against Marywood.
