Neumann's Etienne and Marymount's Highsmith Jr. Receive Men's Basketball Weekly Honors

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, with Neumann’s Bryan Etienne being named Player of the Week and CJ Highsmith Jr. of Marymount being named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: Bryan Etienne
School: Neumann
Class: Senior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Coral Springs, Fla.
High School: Coral Glades
Brief Outlook of Week:  Etienne averaged 18.5 points as Neumann wrapped up the regular season with two wins. In an 84-76 win at Marywood, the senior scored 18 points, with three rebounds and two assists. He followed with 19 points and 10 rebounds, along with four assists, as a No. 4 seed clinching 71-58 win at Centenary, showing consistency across the board this week.

Defensive Player of the Week: CJ Highsmith Jr.
School: Marymount
Class: Junior
Position: Center
Hometown: Richmond, Va.
High School: Richmond Christian
Brief Outlook of Week: In a dominant defensive week, CJ Highsmith Jr. racked up five total blocks and pulled in three steals to help Marymount to a 2-0 week to finish the regular season. Adding five points per game, the junior center notched four rebounds per game and four total assists.


Weekly Honor Roll:
D.J. Johnson, Gwynedd Mercy:
Johnson averaged 13.5 points and 4.5 rebounds while recording nine assists and nine steals in a 1-1 week against Centenary and Saint Elizabeth. His week was highlighted by a strong showing against the Eagles, in which he recorded 21 points, four rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

Jalen Snead, Gwynedd Mercy: Snead was the Griffins' best player in a 1-1 week with 13.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, five assists, and one steals per game versus Centenary and Saint Elizabeth. Against the Cyclones, he led the Griffins with 20 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and a steal, going 8-of-14 (.571) from the floor.

Dylan Crews, Immaculata: Crews capped off his collegiate career with a strong two-game stretch, totaling 33 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. Against Marymount on Wednesday, he delivered a standout performance with 21 points, three rebounds, five assists, three blocked shots, and two steals, while also reaching the milestone of 1,000 career points.He followed that effort on Saturday with 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, one blocked shot, and one steal in a win over Pratt, closing his collegiate run on a high note.

Andrew Quinn, Marywood: Quinn made two-thirds of his 3-point attempts to average 17 points per game in the final two regular season contests. He scored 25 points in a nailbiter loss to Marymount, going 8 for 11 from the field with five 3-pointers. Earlier in the week, he added nine points and four rebounds to his name against Neumann.

Donte Dupriest, Neumann: Dupriest averaged 19.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week as Neumann clinched the No. 4 seed for the postseason. The senior scored 25 points, dished out four assists, and grabbed 11 rebounds in an 84-76 win over Marywood. Dupriest wrapped up the regular season with 13 points and six rebounds in a 71-58 win at Centenary.

Joe Mazzola, Saint Elizabeth: It was a massive week for Mazzola- not only did he score his 1,000th career point on offense, but he defensively played a key role. Mazzola would accumulate six steals on the week for the Eagles, three in each game he played, along with 15 defensive rebounds, and one block.
