HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, with Saint Elizabeth’s Joseph Mazzola being named Player of the Week and Tye-Rell Monroe named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: Joseph Mazzola
School: Saint Elizabeth
Class: Senior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Ringwood, N.J.
Brief Outlook of Week: Mazzola played a key role for the Eagles in their win over Keystone on Thursday, scoring 13 points, picking up seven boards, going 4-5 from the field, 3-4 from beyond the arc, and was a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line.

Defensive Player of the Week: Tye-Rell Monroe
School: Saint Elizabeth
Class: Senior
Position: Forward/Guard
Hometown: Rio Rancho, N.M.
Brief Outlook of Week: Monroe played a key role for the Eagles this past week against Keystone, scoring 13 points on offense, picking up five defensive rebounds, two steals, and one block.
