INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Neumann men's basketball team was part of the 64-team field for the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship Tournament, as announced by the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Committee Monday afternoon.
This is the Knight's second-consecutive year making the tournament, as they are set to face off against Endicott in first-round action Friday, March 6, at 6:30 p.m. at the MacDonald Gymnasium in Beverly, Mass.
Neumann (19-9) won the Atlantic East title in dramatic fashion, beating the second seeded Gwynedd Mercy Griffins by a score of 66-65, to earn the conference's automatic bid to the tournament. This is the Knights' second-consecutive, having lost to #4 Trinity College (Conn.) 76-60 last year. Endicott (26-1) is looking to capitalize on home court advantage on this round of the NCAA Tournament.
The 64-team, single-elimination tournament consists of 43 automatic qualifiers and 21 at-large bids. Sixteen sites will host four teams for first-and second round competitions on March 6th and 7th, with the third round will be played on March 13th and 14th.
Third round winners will advance to Fort Wayne, Ind. from March 19th – 21st, with the championship being held in Indianapolis, Ind. on March 21st.
