HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Basketball weekly award winners on Monday, as Marywood’s Joe Macciocco was named Player of the Week and Pratt’s Cameron Hatcher was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Player of the Week: Joe Macciocco
School: Marywood
Class: Sophomore
Position: Guard
Hometown: Old Forge, Pa.
High School: Old Forge
Brief Outlook of Week: Macciocco led the Pacers to a 1-1 week by averaging 25.5 points per game. He led Marywood to a win over Messiah with a 25-point effort, hitting six 3-pointers to go with five assists. Macciocco followed up with his second-straight career-high scoring game with 26 points and five steals in a loss to Wilson. Macciocco shot 18 for 34, for a 52.9 percent mark.
Defensive Player of the Week: Cameron Hatcher
School: Pratt
Class: Senior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio
High School: Virginia Academy
Brief Outlook of Week: The senior forward delivered a dominant, all-around performance to lead Pratt to an 86-78 road victory over York College in the team's final game of 2025. Hatcher recorded a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds while shooting an efficient 8-of-13 from the field. He was a force on both ends of the court, adding a career-high four blocks and two steals to his stat line.
Weekly Honor Roll:
D.J. Johnson, Gwynedd Mercy: Johnson totaled nine steals between wins over Penn State Abington (86-70) and Brooklyn College (82-69). Against the Nittany Lions, he paired four assists with 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Then, against the Bulldogs, he recorded five steals along with nine points, six rebounds, and six assists. For the week, Johnson averaged 9.5 points, five rebounds, four assists, and 4.5 steals per game.
Shilo Bivins, Marywood: Bivins averaged 13 rebounds per game across two games. He tied for the second-most single-game rebounds in school history with 18 boards against Wilson. Bivins added 10 points for his first double-double of the season. He collected eight rebounds in a victory over Messiah.
Cam’Ron Martel, Saint Elizabeth: Martel was a force for the Eagles once again defensively, picking up 11 rebounds per game alongside one steal and two blocks on the week. Martel also recorded an 18.3 points per game average.
Tye-Rell Monroe, Saint Elizabeth: Monroe averaged 34.2 points per game, scoring 88 total points on the week. He also added 4 rebounds per game, (12 Total), two total assists, and one steal. The senior shot 53.6% from the field, 40% from three, and was a nearly perfect 20-21 (95.2%) from the free throw line. Monroe also scored his 2,000th collegiate career point.
