Immaculata's Crowding and Marymount's Schaeb Tabbed Baseball Weekly Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball Players of the Week for the week ending, April 30th. Immaculata’s Josh Crowding and Marymount’s Andrew Schaeb were named Player and Pitcher of the Week awards respectively.

Brief Outlook of Week: Crowding in four games hit .643 going 9-for-14 with four runs scored, seven RBIs, with two doubles, a home run and two walks. Went 2-for-4 vs. Centenary on April 27th with three RBIs and a Home Run in the team's 12-6 win.

Brief Outlook of Week: Sophomore lefty Schaeb made history on Saturday, pitching the second no-hitter in Marymount baseball history, first by a single pitcher. Going the distance, he punched out eight Cavaliers on the way to the historic win.

Weekly Honor Roll
Chris Balshuwei, (So., Outfielder, Neumann) - Balshuweit hit .462 (6-for-13) and knocked in seven runs in a 2-1 week for the Knights, 1-0 in conference play. He also scored two runs and stole two bases. Against Marywood in conference action, the sophomore hit a two-run single in the first inning to get the Knights on the board. Balshuweit also had two two-RBI hits in a loss at Keystone and finished with five runs batted in.

Ryan Brown, (So., Pitcher, Cabrini) - Brown threw 7.1 IP in Cabrini's 3-1 win over Marymount on April 29 In start, Brown scattered 6 hits and allowed just one earned run with no walks and two strikeouts Was his first start of the season and longest start of his career Only threw 83 pitches

Billy Collins, (Gr., DH/Infield, Gwynedd Mercy) - Collins was 3-for-5 with a walk, a run, and three RBI in a 21-8 win at Penn State Abington. He knocked in three different at-bats with a RBI ground out in the second inning, a two-run double in the fifth, and an RBI single in the sixth.

Jacob Hirner, (Fy., Pitcher, Centenary) - Hirner threw seven innings allowing just two hits and allowing zero runs to cross the plate against CCNY.
