LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball Players of the Week for the week ending, March 19th. Shawn Vega of Neumann was named Player of the Week; while Jason Hughes of Immaculata earned Pitcher of the Week honors.

Brief Outlook of Week: Vega batted .611 (11-for-18) in a 3-1 week for Neumann. Of his 11 hits he had two doubles and two homeruns. He also scored 10 runs, while knocking in seven more. In the first game of the week, the senior was 5-for-5 at the plate in a 23-12 win at Lancaster Bible. He had a double, homerun, and scored six runs in the game. He had a hit in all four games for the Knights, while finishing the week slugging 1.056.

School: Immaculata

Hometown: Warminster, Pa.
High School: William Tennent
Brief Outlook of Week: Hughes pitched a complete game three-hit shutout in Immaculata’s win over Ursinus on Friday, March 17th. The junior tallied eight strikeouts while issuing just one walk in the nine innings of work.
Weekly Honor Roll
Mitchell Bramsway (Jr., Pitcher, Gwynedd Mercy): Bramsway appeared in two games this week not allowing a single run. He went 3.2 innings giving up two hits, walking one and striking out eight.
Billy Collins (Gr., Infield, Gwynedd Mercy): In four games this week Collins batted .400 including six hits, two homeruns, and 12 runs batted in. One of the home runs was a three-run homerun and the other was a grand slam. Collins also worked four walks on the week.
Vinny D’auria (Gr., LF, Marywood): D’Auria led Marywood to a 5-3 record on its spring break trip with a .500 AVG, 1.273 OPS, nine runs, three stolen bases, and 11 RBIs. In a doubleheader sweep over Gallaudet, D’Auria went 6-for-9 with two triples, five runs, and six RBIs. He reached in all three Abs and scored twice in a win over Washington College. The graduate student finished 4-for7 with five RBIs in a doubleheader sweep against Lasell.
Tyler Quick (Sr., Pitcher, Marywood): Quick notched aa pair of saves in the Pacers’ Spring Break trip to Fort Pierce, Fla. He did not allow a hit in two scoreless innings to complement aa .500 WHIP. Quick sat down three runners for a perfect seventh inning in a 5-3 win over Washington College. Quick helped a 9-6 win over previously unbeaten Lasell with a three-out save.
