HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball All-Conference teams and major awards on Wednesday. The All-Conference teams are voted on by the league's head coaches.
After guiding the Saints to an 11-7 conference record, going 24-16 on the regular season, outfielder Quincy Via was named Player of the Year. Via’s offensive contributions were second to none, stealing 60 bases on 67 attempts, a stat that leads the nation by over 16 stolen bases, averaging 1.32 per game. The senior sat second in conference with a .413 batting average and an on base percentage of .493. Via had 77 hits and 65 runs scored, both of which were the most in the conference, through 190 at bats, adding 34 RBI’s and 16 doubles. His hits and runs both placed him top-20 nationally.
Marywood’s Danny Tiedemann took home Pitcher of the Year honors after a strong showing throughout his senior campaign. His 3.44 ERA was fifth-best in the conference as he went 5-1 on the year, pitching 52.1 innings, allowing only 55 hits this season. Tiedemann allowed 23 runs (20 earned) and walked 17 batters, striking out 28 on the season, eight of which were left looking. The Manorville, N.Y., native helped the Pacers to a fourth seed in the Atlantic East Playoffs, their first AEC postseason appearance and first postseason appearance since 2015.
Picking up Reliever of the Year Honors, an award that is now in its second year, was Aidan Folsom of Saint Elizabeth. Folsom pitched 29.1 innings, allowing 26 hits and 25 runs, 17 of which were earned, for a G-ERA of 3.37 and an S-ERA of 5.22. Walking 21 on the year, he struck out 39 batters, allowing only four doubles and two triples, all without allowing a single home run. We went 1-2 on the year, adding one save to his name. He faced 142 batters on the season, throwing a total of 519 pitches.
Danny Nocito, a freshman from Immaculata, was named as the 2026 Rookie of the Year, helping the Mighty Macs to a third seed in postseason play. Starting 33 games for Immaculata, Nocito batted 127 times, posting 44 hits and 30 runs, driving in 27 runners. He recorded 10 doubles and three home runs, being walked on 16 occasions. The Langhorne, Pa. native also stole 10 bases while batting .346 on the season. Fielding wise, Nocito had 79 put outs with only three errors, posting a fielding percentage of .963, placing him 29th in the conference.
Nick Trapanese, a senior at Marymount, took home the Atlantic East Elite Scholar Athlete Award for the second year in a row. This honor is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing at the finals site at each of the Atlantic East’s championships. Trapanese is majoring in Cybersecurity and boasts a perfect 4.0 GPA. Full criteria can be found here.
Following a historic season, Centenary was tabbed Coaching Staff of the Year. The Cyclones made its first-ever Atlantic East postseason appearance, garnering the top seed, and taking it all the way to a game seven winner-take-all final. Head Coach Andrew Romanella led Centenary to a 20-24 record on the year, going 12-6 in conference play. This year’s record for the Cyclones was Romanella’s best at the helm and the programs’ best since 2010 when the team went 20-22.
