LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball Players of the Week for the week ending, April 2nd. Ryan Maylie of Marymount was named Player of the Week; while Jason Hughes of Immaculata earned Pitcher of the Week honors.

Brief Outlook of Week: Maylie made his presence felt in the heart of the order for the Saints in their AEC series win over Centenary. Batting .500, 4-for-8, with a home run and four walks. The graduate student drove in seven RBIs. This week raised his season average to .316.

Brief Outlook of Week: Hughes earned the win in the first game of the doubleheaders against Gwynedd Mercy on March 31st going six innings, allowing only three hits, no runs, and recording 12 strikeouts.
Weekly Honor Roll
Michael Aronica (Jr., Pitcher, Marywood): Aronica was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA, .743 WHIP, and a save in two appearances this week. Aronica pitched a six-inning gem to earn a 5-0 shutout win over Cabrini. He struck out 10 and allowed three hits. He also closed out he ninth in a 5-3 victory over Lycoming. In seven innings, the Dunmore, Pa. native struck out 12 batters (15.4/9)aand held batters to a a.136 batting average.
Chris Balshuwei (So., Pitcher, Neumann): Balshuweitt picked up his first career win going 2.2 innings in relief in a 5-4 win over Albright. In the sophomore’s 2.2 innings he did not allow a hit and struck out five out of the eight batters he faced.
Josh Crowding (Sr., Catcher, Immaculata): Crowding batted .474 for the week going 9-for-19 with six runs scored, six RBIs, four doubles, and one home run in five games. He went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, and two RBIs vs. Kean on March 27th. He then went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two doubles, and two RBIs vs. Gwynedd on March 31st.
Sam Junker (C/2B/OF), Gwynedd Mercy): Junker was 11-for-17 in four games, including a five-hit game versus Clarks Summit and a 6-for11 three game set versus Immaculata. He knocked in in four of the Griffins’ 23 runs against the Defenders thanks to a double in the second, a single in the third, and a two-run single in the fifth. Junker recorded at least one hit in each of the games against the Mighty Macs. He was 3-for-4 with and RBI in game one, 2-for-4 in game two, and 1-for-3 with a walk in game three.
Colton Narciso (Jr., Infielder, Cabrini): Narciso went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a single against Marywood. He also went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, and three runs scored in the second game of a doubleheader against Marywood on April 2nd. He added three stolen bases and finished 7-for-16 with four doubles, two RBIs, five runs scored, and three walks.
Jordan Silvestri (So., Pitcher, Cabrini): Silvestri went 6.2 shutout innings against Marywood on March 31. He allowed just four hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
