Cabrini's Sutton and Marymount Muirhead Earned Baseball Player of the Week Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball Players of the Week for the week ending, March 5th. Cabrini’s Dustin Sutton was named Player of the Week; while David Muirhead of Marymount earned Pitcher of the Week honors for the second week in a row.

Brief Outlook of Week: Sutton went 16-for37 on the week for a .469 averaged, 11 RBIs, three doubles, one triples, three home runs, five walks, and four stolen bases. The graduate student slugged .906 with a on base percentage .553.

Brief Outlook of Week:  Sophomore righty David Muirhead put up his third-straight strong performance on the mounds for the Saints, helping them complete the doubleheader sweep of Widener on Sunday afternoon. Pitching a seven-inning complete game, he racked up five strikeouts, allowing just one earned run. His ERA is currently .42 on 21.1 innings pitched.


Weekly Honor Roll

Mitchell Bramsway (Jr., Pitcher, Gwynedd Mercy): Bramsway in 4.2 innings of work this week struck out 11 batters and allowed four hits. Batters only averaged a .174 against for the outings against Clarks Summit and Dominican.

Ryan Cuadros (Fy., Utility, Marymount): First year Ryan Cuadros had a day at the plate on Sunday, helping the Saints to a sweep of visiting Widener. In game one, the outfielder went 3-for-3 with two homeruns and six RBIs He added two stolen bases across the week on as many attempts.

Frank Margiotta (Gr., Centerfielder, Immaculata): Margiotta went 6-for-12 over the weekend scoring six runs and driving in one run out of the leadoff spot in the lineup. Went 3-for-4 with four runs scored, and a stolen base in Immaculata’s win over Averett on March 4th.  

Trevor Wagner (Gr., Pitcher, Immaculata): Wagner earned the win in relief going four innings with three hits, one earned run, and struck out six against nationally ranked Christopher Newport in Immaculata’s come-from-behind 12-6 win on March 5th.
