Gwynedd Mercy's Root and Immaculata's Crowell Tabbed Baseball Players of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball Players of the Week for the week ending, April 23rd. Gwynedd Mercy’s Cooper Root and Immaculata’s Ryan Crowell were named Player and Pitcher of the Week awards respectively.

Player of the Week:
Name:  Cooper Root
School: Gwynedd Mercy
Class: Sophomore
Position: Outfield/Pitcher
Hometown:  Runnemede, N.J.
High School: Triton Regional
Brief Outlook of Week: Root was 8-for-17 (.471) with five runs and 10 RBI during the Griffins 3-1 week versus Delaware Valley University (W, 26-10) and Centenary University (L, 11-7/W, 4-2/W, 3-1). He totaled six RBI at Delaware Valley, going 3-for-5 against the Aggies with two walks and a pair of doubles. In knocked in two runs in each of the first two games against Centenary University and earned the win in the third. He allowed an unearned run over 6.1 innings.

Name: Ryan Crowell
School: Immaculata
Class: Senior
Position: Pitcher
Hometown: Bensalem, Pa.
High School: Conwell-Egan Catholic
Brief Outlook of Week: Crowell earned the win on April 21st vs. Marywood throwing seven innings, allowing seven hits, no earned runs, walking only one, and striking out nine as Immaculata won 4-1.

Weekly Honor Roll
Jaden Dickerson (So., Infield, Cabrini): Dickerson was strong from the plate as he went 5-for-6 with four doubles and five RBIs and two runs scored in Cabrini's 15-6 win over Wilkes University on April 21 Four of his five RBIs came from a pair of two-run doubles Dickerson leads the conference in doubles and is tied for 14th in the nation with 17

Marty Lucibello (Gr., Outfield, Centenary):  Over this past week, Lucibello batted 12-for-21 (.571) as the leadoff hitter for five games. He also drove in four RBI's and stole five bases. The graduate student scored nine runs with two doubles and a triple across the 3-2 week for the Cyclones.
