Immaculata's Wright and Crowell Sweep Baseball Weekly Awards

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball Players of the Week for the week ending, April 16th. Immaculata's Joey Wright and Ryan Crowell sweep Player and Pitcher of the Week awards respectively.

Brief Outlook of Week: Wright went a combined 11-of-18 (.611 batting average), with four doubles, eight RBIs and seven runs scored as the Macs won 3-out-of-4 games. On April 11th, Wright had a career day against Neumann setting a new program record for hits in a single game with six, going 6-for-6 at the plate. He finished the game with four singles, two doubles, four runs scored and four RBIs.

Brief Outlook of Week: Crowell defeated Cabrini on 4/15 with a complete game, seven inning, shutout to earn the win. He allowed just two hits, no walks and registered three strikeouts.

Weekly Honor Roll
Ryan Cuadros (Fy., Utility, Marymount): Cuadros had a big weekend for the Saints in their three-game sweep over the Marywood Pacers. Going 6-for-13 at the plate across the set, he collected sic total RBI. In the opening game on Friday he knocked in five total RBI with a double and his third homerun of the season.

Andrew Schaeb (So., Pitcher, Marymount): In game one of Saturday's twin-bill with Marywood, sophomore Schaeb put up his best start of the season. Earning his fourth win in complete game fashion, the Lake Braddock product struck out 11 total Pacers, aa season-high. He allowed just one earned run on three hits.  

Shawn Vega (Sr., Outfield, Neumann):
Vega batted .381 (8-for-21) in a 4-1 week, 3-1 in conference play. He also set the career record in stolen bases in the win over Muhlenberg, breaking the previous record of 41. Vega scored eight runs, knocked in seven, stole five bases and hit three homeruns. He went 3-for-3 against Muhlenberg and scored four runs in an 18-15 win. He also hit a two-run homerun in the second game of a doubleheader against Gwynedd Mercy to put the Knights up 2-0 to lead to the 6-5 eventual win.
