HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Flag Football weekly award winners on Monday as Marymount’s Cara Vollmer was named Player of the Week and Samayah Barnes  was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: Cara Vollmer
School: Marymount
Class: Junior
Position: Quarterback
Hometown: Nokesville, Va.
High School: Brentsville
Brief Outlook of Week: Vollmer led the charge for the Saints over the weekend, giving Marymount four overall wins, two in the AEC. Passing for 511 yards, going 38-53 in the air, Vollmer had nine passing touchdowns to her credit, averaging 127.8 yards per game. On the ground, she impressed with four rushing touchdowns, netting 94 total yards for 23.5 per game. 

Defensive Player of the Week: Samayah Barnes
School: Marymount
Class: Freshman
Position: Defensive Back
Hometown: Clearwater, Fla.
High School: Dunedin
Brief Outlook of the Week: Barnes led the defensive efforts for the Saints in their 4-0 weekend, including two AEC wins on Saturday. Notching 18 total flag pulls, the first-year added four interceptions, taking two back for touchdowns, and a broken up pass to her credit. 

Weekly Honor Roll:
Aalyce Davis, Holy Family: Davis totaled six touchdowns, four through the air and two more on the ground, in Sunday's sweep of Chestnut Hill and Penn State Schuylkill, running for 271 yards and throwing for 147 more. 

Jaclyn Molinini, Immaculata: Molinini had three total tackles and had an interception in Immaculata's game vs Eastern on Saturday.

Eliana Szatkowski, Immaculata: Szatkowski had eight receptions for 68 yards, including a long of 15 yards, and added five total tackles and a pass breakup on the defense in Immaculata's game vs Eastern.
