Neumann's Valente and Holy Family's Cooley Awarded Women's Flag Football Weekly Honors

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Flag Football weekly award winners on Monday as Neumann’s Ava Valente was named Player of the Week and Holy Family’s Kylie Cooley was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: Ava Valente
School: Neumann
Class: Freshman
Position: Quarterback
Hometown: Swedesboro, N.J.
High School: Kingsway
Brief Outlook of Week: Valente passed for 504 yards, with seven touchdowns in three games, as the Knights went 2-1 during conference play. She also rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns. In a 54-25 win over Centenary, the first year compiled 251 yards and four touchdowns. She followed with 284 yards and five touchdowns in a 40-12 win over Penn State Schuylkill.  

Defensive Player of the Week: Kylie Cooley
School: Holy Family
Class: Freshman
Position: Linebacker
Hometown: Philadelphia, Pa.
High School: St. Huberts Catholic
Brief Outlook of Week: Cooley had 24 flag pulls, all of which were unassisted and five of which were tackles for loss, in a 2-2 week. She added two pass breakups. 

Weekly Honor Roll:
Caliyah Brown, Chestnut Hill: Brown posted a season-best 11 tackles against Penn State Schuylkill, adding five tackles against Holy Family and one sack against Centenary..

Aalyce Davis, Holy Family: Davis played a part in five touchdowns in a 2-2 week, rushing for three, throwing for one and catching another. She ran for 166 yards, totaled 26 receiving yards and added 137 yards passing yards. 

Tiara Lawler, Immaculata: Lawler recorded a strong defensive stretch for Immaculata, totaling 15 tackles across three games, including 14 solo stops. In Immaculata’s 14–7 victory over Holy Family on Sunday, she led the effort with 11 tackles (10 solo) and added three tackles for loss. She also contributed four tackles, including two for loss, in the team’s matchup against Marymount on Sunday.

Kaylah Barr, Marymount: Barr put up a stout defensive week, including three interceptions, two for a pick sixes, and 10 total flag pulls across the week of action. On the offensive side, she added four receiving TD's, notching 131 total yards, with 88 yards gained on the ground and a pair of TD's. She averaged 32.8 yards receiving on the week, 22.0 on the ground.
