LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Lacrosse awards with Marywood’s Avery Meighan and Marymount's Dunn Player and Defensive Player of the weekly honors respectively. 

Player of the Week:
Name: Avery Meighan
School: Marywood
Class: Sophomore
Position: Attack
Hometown: Floral Park, N.Y.
High School: Floral Park
Brief Outlook of Week: Meighan scored eight goals and four assists to lead the Pacers to a 20-16 victory over Immaculata to secure the No. 3 seed in the Atlantic East conference tournament. She added eight draw controls and four ground balls. Trailing by one goal at halftime, Meighan helped the Pacers with five goals and an assist in the second half. Her 12-point effort increased her single-season total to 113 for a school record.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Abby Dunn
School: Marymount
Class: Junior
Position: Defense
Hometown: Pasadena, Md.  
High School: Chesapeake
Brief Outlook of Week: Dunn led the charge on defense for the Saints in the 1-0 week. The junior had five turnovers and five groundballs in the 22-5 victory over Neumann.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Olivia Little (Gr., Attack, Cabrini): Little finished the single game week with six goals and two assists for eight points. The graduate student also added three groundballs, four caused turnovers, and three draw controls.  

Kristin Varilla (Sr., Attack, Gwynedd Mercy): Varilla surpassed 200 career points with her seventh point (14-4, 4:10 2QTR) of a 21-8 AEC win over Centenary on Wednesday, Apr. 24. She totaled nine points in all versus the Cyclones with a season-high seven goals and a pair of assists. She also recorded five ground balls, four draws, and a caused turnover in the affair.
