Marymount Faces Plymouth State in the First Round of the NCAA DIII Women's Lacrosse Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS - The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced their forty-seven-team field for the upcoming NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament on Monday morning.

Marymount won their first Atlantic East Conference Championship on Saturday and will be making their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

The Saints will travel to York, Pennsylvania where they will face the No. 29 nationally Plymouth State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers enter the tournament with an at large qualification finishing as the conference runner up in the Little East Tournament. The first-round contest will take place on Saturday, May 10th at 12:00 p.m. at Kinsley Field on the campus of York College (PA). York entered the tournament through the MAC Commonwealth conference title. The Green and White rank No. 8 nationally and receive a first-round bye. They will face the winner in the second round on Sunday. May 11th at 1pm.

The winners of the sixteen second round games advancing to one of four regional sites. Those regionals will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 17-18. Winners of the four regionals will advance to the semifinals and final, which take place Friday and Sunday, May 23-25 at Kerr Stadium in Salem, Va. The Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the City of Salem will serve as championship hosts.
