Marymount's Gehler and Immaculata's Liberatoscioli Earn Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week Awards

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Lacrosse weekly award winners on Monday, as Marymount’s Bailey Gehler and Immaculata’s Tessa Liberatoscioli earn Player and Defensive Player of the week honors respectively.  
Player of the Week:
Name: Bailey Gehler
School: Marymount
Class: Fifth year
Position: Midfield
Hometown: San Diego, Calif.
High School: Academy of Our Lady of Peace
Brief Outlook of Week: Gehler put up two huge performances for the Saints as they went 2-0 in conference play. Notching 18 total points, 11 goals and seven assists, the fifth-year added five caused turnovers, seven ground balls, and 13 draw controls to her line.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Tessa Liberatoscioli
School: Immaculata
Class: Senior
Position: Midfield
Hometown: Malvern, Pa.
High School: Great Valley
Brief Outlook of Week: Liberatoscioli had five caused turnovers, collected four ground balls and seven draw controls to go along with her five goals and one assist in Immaculata's win over Gwynedd Mercy on April 13th.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Liza Laxton (Sr., Midfield, Immaculata): Laxton registered two goals, had eight assists, and seven draw controls in Immaculata's win over Gwynedd Mercy on April 13th. During the game Laxton reached the 100 career assist plateau. Laxton is currently in second place all-time in Immaculata program history with 103 career assists.

Morgan McClintock (Jr., Midfield, Cabrini): McClintock recorded 6 points in both Cabrini wins this week, scoring 8 goals and 4 assists across both. The midfielder added 7 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers defensively as the Cavaliers overwhelmed their opponents by a combined score of 39-6.

Hannah Smith (Gr., Goalkeeper, Marymount): Goalkeeper Hannah Smith went 2-0 on the week for the Saints, allowing just eight goals across both games while notching 10 saves. She added three ground balls and a caused turnover to her credit.

Kaitlyn Smith (So., Midfield, Marywood): Smith finished with 10 goals, five assists and 15 points in two games for the Pacers. She set Marywood single-game goals and points records against scoring 10 goals and four assists for 14 points in a win over Centenary.
