Cabrini's Herraiz and Marymount's Mort Earn Last Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday for the week ending on April 30th. Cabrini’s Connor Herraiz was tabbed Player of the Week, while Marymount’s Nick Mort was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Herraiz recorded 5 goals and 3 assists in a 27-9 win over Gwynedd on April 26 In the win he tallied 8 points with 2 ground balls He extended his assists streak to 16 games in a row to start his career Herraiz is currently 2nd in the AEC in assists per game with 2.81

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Nick Mort
School: Marymount
Class: First Year
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: Exton, Pa.
High School: Great Valley
Brief Outlook of Week: Mort picked up two more wins in goal this week, holding two conference opponents to just 10 goals in a 2-0 week for the Saints. The freshman totaled 17 saves and picked up five ground balls.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Wyatt Bolotti (Gr., Midfield, Neumann): Belotti scored five goals and added six assists as Neumann wrapped up the regular season with a win at Centenary. His five goals came on six shots on goal. In the first round game at Marymount, Belotti had three shots.

Matthew Ludlow (Fy., Goalkeeper, Immaculata): Ludlow led Immaculata to their first post season win in program history, and the program's first win over Marywood on Saturday, April 29th making 15 saves and allowing only two goals against. Registered 12 saves in the team's final regular season season game vs. Marymount on April 26th.

Jack Williams (Jr., Attack, Marymount): Williams continues to re-write the Marymount men's lacrosse record book in just his third season on campus. The junior ripped four goals and four assists in the first round of the Atlantic East Tournament and he now has 84 points this season, breaking the single-season record for points held since 2019. It marks the fifth record Williams has broken this season. He also scooped up seven ground balls, setting a new career-high in the category in the win over Neumann.
