INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Marymount men's lacrosse team was part of the 40-team field for the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament, as announced by the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Committee Sunday night.
This is the Saints' inagural NCAA Tournament appearance, marking a historic moment for the program, as they are set to face off against Roanoke in first-round action on Wednesday, May 6 at 4:00 p.m.
Marymount (9-7) won the Atlantic East title after battling to a hard fought 11-7 win against Immaculata, last year's AEC champions, to earn the conference's automatic bid to the tournament. James Elko posted six points, while freshman goalie Connor Howard posted 11 saves. Winston Horshaw II, who sits sixth in the nation with a .738 faceoff win percentage, went 18-20 in the circle.
Roanoke (13-5) made its last NCAA Tournament appearance in 2024, bowing out to Stevens in the opening round. The Maroons last match this season was an 18-16 loss to Lynchburg, on May 1, in the ODAC Championship match.
The winner of the Marymount-Roanoke game will face Salisbury (16-3), who received a first round bye coupled with second and third round hosting rights, on Saturday, May 9 at 3:00 p.m. The national Championship game will take place on Sunday, May 24 at 12:00 p.m.
