Marymount Drops Men's Lacrosse Opening Round to Roanoke

SALEM, Va. — The historic season for Marymount men's lacrosse came to a close on Wednesday afternoon as the Saints fell to the Roanoke Maroons by a score of 22-7 in NCAA Tournament action. Marymount finishes the year at 9-8 after capturing the first Atlantic East Conference Championship in program history.

NOTABLE

  • Ian Fructuoso led the Saints offensively with three goals, finishing his standout senior campaign with another multi-goal performance.
  • Santino Rossitto added two goals on five shots on target.
  • James Elko recorded a goal and an assist.
  • William Cate found the back of the net for the Saints.
  • James Doss paced the offense with three assists.
  • Matthew KurczeskiBraden Miller, and Matthew Mulkins each tallied an assist.
  • Winston Horshaw dominated at the faceoff X, going 17-for-24 while collecting a game-high 12 ground balls.
  • Goalkeepers Connor Howard and Jacob Brooks combined for 20 saves in net.
  • Marymount totaled 20 faceoff wins and 35 ground balls
