Immaculata's Manion and Ludlow Sweep Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week on Monday for the week ending on April 23rd. Immaculata sweeps awards as Bailey Manion and Matthew Ludlow are named Player and Defensive Player of the Week.  

Player of the Week:
Name: Bailey Manion
School: Immaculata
Class: Sophomore
Position: Attack
Hometown:  New Egypt, N.J.
High School:  New Egypt
Brief Outlook of Week:  In two games this week, Manion scored seven goals and added six assists for 13 points. On Apil 19th he scored three goals and added one assist vs. Marywood, and on April 22nd he scored four goals and added five assists vs. Centenary.


Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Matthew Ludlow
School: Immaculata
Class: First Year
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown:  Willow Grove, Pa.
High School:  Upper Moreland
Brief Outlook of Week Ludlow made 24 saves and added five groundballs and one caused turnover vs. Marywood on April 19th. He allowed four goals per game in the two contests and 105 minutes he was in net. He has a .774 save percentage.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Gunnar Seaman (Fy., Attack, Gwynedd Mercy): Seaman scored a hat trick in the first 2:36 of the Griffins' 24-3 AEC win over Centenary University. He finished the contest with five points (4g, 1a) and recovered two ground balls.

Jack Williams (Jr., Attack, Marymount): Williams set the Marymount men's lacrosse program record for career assists with a helper on Saturday against Cabrini. In a 1-1 week for the Saints, Williams had three goals and seven assists, including six in a come-from-behind road win over Neumann on Wednesday.

Evan Courts (Jr., Faceoff, Gwynedd Mercy): Courts kept the Griffins in possession during a 24-3 victory over Centenary University with 14-of-18 (.778) success rate on the faceoff and a team-high nine ground balls. He also recorded an assist.

Owen Avelar (Fy., Goalkeeper, Neumann): Avelar picked up his first collegiate win in net in a 1-1 conference week for Neumann. In a 12-10 loss to Marymount, he made 14 saves. He followed with 16 saves in an 11-10 win at Marywood. With 1:06 left before halftime, Avelar shot the ball into the net to score and give the Knights a 5-4 advantage at halftime. He added seven ground balls in the two games.
