LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Volleyball weekly award winners on Monday, as Regan Hickey of Neumann earned Player of the Week, while Ayanna Gaston of Gwynedd Mercy claimed Specialist of the Week.

Player of the Week:
Name: Regan Hickey

Brief Outlook of Week: Hickey tallied a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs in a 3-0 win over Wilkes in the lone match of the week.

Specialist of the Week:
Name: Ayanna Gaston
School: Gwynedd Mercy
Class: Sophomore
Position: Setter
Hometown: Middletown, Del.
High School: Middletown
Brief Outlook of Week: Gaston totaled 5 kills, 108 assists, 4 aces, 7 block assists, and 21 digs in a 2-1 week versus Saint Elizabeth University (W, 3-0), Centenary University (NJ) (W, 3-2), and Marymount University (L, 2-3). She totaled six points (3 kills, 2 aces, 2 block assists), a season-high 42 assists, and a dozen (12) digs in the five-set battle with the Cyclones.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Ashley Brown (Sr., Hitter, Gwynedd Mercy) - Brown was unstoppable in the first two matches of a 2-1 week as the Griffin captain hit .824 (14K-0E-17TA) in a 3-0 win at Saint Elizabeth University and .410 (18K-2E-39TA) in a 3-2 AEC tri-match victory over Centenary University (NJ). She finished the week with 33 kills, 2 assists, 3 aces, 3 solo blocks, 4 block assists, and 10 digs. He best game came versus the Eagles: 18 kills, 2 assists, 2 aces, 2 solo blocks, and five digs. Before the weekend, she was tied for 11th in the Nation for hitting percentage; .391 (101K-15E-220TA).

Kaitlyn Doyle (Gr., Outside Hitter, Doyle): This weekend, Kaitlyn Doyle did a tremendous job both offensively and defensively, being available for her teammates anywhere on the court. Over the course of two matches, Doyle had a total of 29 kills, 6 service aces, and 28 digs. Having the most kills out of any player in both matches against Centenary and Gwynedd Mercy.

Dani Smith (Jr., Setter, Neumann) - Smith handed out 28 assists in a 3-0 win over Wilkes in Neumann’s only match of the week.
