LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Volleyball weekly award winners on Monday, as Centenary’s Poppy Skjonnemand earned Player of the Week, while Dani Smith of Neumann claimed Specialist of the Week.
Player of the Week:
Name: Poppy Skjonnemand
School: Centenary

Position: Outside Hitter
Hometown: Southampton, UK
Brief Outlook of Week: Skjonnemand had a huge week, totaling 42 kills on a .390 hitting percentage as the Cyclones went 3-0 for the week. Poppy averaged 5.1 points per set, and 4.66 kills per set on the week. The freshman added 26 digs, and two solo blocks. She tied her career high of 25 kills against Delaware Valley.
Specialist of the Week:
Name: Dani Smith
School: Neumann
Class: Junior
Position: Setter
Hometown: Morinville, Albertaa
High School: Morinville Community
Brief Outlook of Week: Smith handed out 116 assists in a 2-2 week for Neumann. The junior added 27 digs and three service aces. She hit 20 assists in all three matches and handed out 39 against Stockton.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Natalie Bialecki (Jr., Setter, Marymount) - Across the three games played this weekend, Bialecki totaled 44 assists and 24 digs. She also contributed 2 service aces and 2 kills over the course of the weekend. It was very evident that Natalie played well both offensively and defensively, boosting the morale of her teammates despite tough losses.
Emily Ettien (Sr., Setter, Immaculata): Ettien led Immaculata to a 2-1 record during the week with eight total kills, 33 total assists, 11 total digs, and eight total service aces. In the Mighty Macs five-set victory over Rosemont on September 12th she registered five kills, 16 assists, six digs, and six service aces. Served 10 consecutive points during the third set of the match, and served the first six points in set five leading the Macs to the win.
Regan Hickey (Sr., Hitter, Neumann): Hickey led Neumann with 48 kills in a 2-2 week. The senior also added 42 digs and six service aces. Hickey tallied double-digit kills in three of the four matches, finishing with 15 kills twice. IN those three matches she hit over .200. The senior also had double-digit digs in three matches with a week high of 16 against Cedar Crest.
