LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Volleyball weekly award winners on Tuesday Immaculata’s Mia Esposito earned Player of the Week, while Gianna Norton of Marywood claimed Specialist of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: Esposito led the Macs to 2-0 week to open the season. The Sophomore finished the week with a hitting percentage of .419, while adding a block on the week. Esposito averaged three kills per set in wins over Penn St. Abington and Valley Forge.
Specialist of the Week:
Name: Gianna Norton
School: Marywood
Class: First Year
Position: Libero
Hometown: Laguna Niguel, Calif.
High School: Santa Margarita Catholic
Brief Outlook of Week: Norton finished with 71 digs (6.45 per set) through the Pacers' first three matches of the year. She had 32 digs in a five-set win over Oswego State. In the deciding fifth set against the Lakers, Marywood scored 11 consecutive points on her service. Norton capped the win with a 27-dig performance against Utica. She also added five aces and six assists.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Lauren Garvey (Sr., Hitter, Neumann): Garvey tallied 56 kills and a .206 hitting percentage as the Knights opened the season 3-1 at the Virginia Wesleyan Tournament. The senior hit double-digits in each match with a weekend high of 18 coming against Plymouth Meeting.
Emily Ettien (Sr., Setter, Ettien): Ettien helped lead the Macs to a tri-match sweep on Saturday, September 2nd, defeating Valley Forge 3-0 and host Penn State-Abington 3-1. In the match vs. Valley Forge Ettien distributed 17 assists and added four service aces. Ettien registered 19 assists in their second match vs. Penn State- Abington and added seven service aces.
