INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Marymount women's soccer team was part of the 64-team field for the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament, as announced by the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Committee Monday afternoon.
This is the Saint's fourth-consecutive year making the tournament, the first of which under Head Coach Tom Doherty's tutelage. First round action will take place on Thursday, November 20, as Marymount takes on Colby in Middletown, Conn. at the campus of host site Wesleyan.
The Saints (17-16) won the Atlantic East title, sweeping Marymount 3 sets to none, earning the conference's automatic bid to the tournament. This is the Marymount's fourth consecutive, sixth all-time, appearance in the tournament, with its best run being a Regional Final appearance in 2019.
Colby (23-3) is entering in as an at-large bid, having bowed out to Tufts 1-3 in the NESCAC Championship Final match. Last year, the Mules made a run into the NCAA Second Round, dropping a 1-3 loss to University of La Verne.
The winner of the Colby-Marymount game will face the winner of Claremont-M-S (20-7) and Babson (22-7) on Friday, November 21. The national quarterfinals will take place in Bloomington, Ill., on Wednesday, December 3, followed by the semifinals on Thursday, December 4, with the Championship game on Saturday December 6 at 4:00 p.m.
