McShea, Tutzauer Grab Women's Basketball Weekly Honors
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the women's basketball weekly awards on Monday afternoon, as Marymount University's Katie McShea earned her fourth Player of the Week honor and Cabrini University's Ashley Tutzauer grabbed her second Defensive Player of the Week in three weeks.

Brief Outlook of Week: McShea was a big part of the Saints going 2-0 this past week in Atlantic East play, totaling 52 points on 68-percent shooting, 24 rebounds, three blocks, and two assists. She set career highs in a 83-71 victory over the Griffins with 34 points and 18 rebounds. She added two blocks in the game, as well. Against Neumann, she led the team with 18 points, while pulling down six rebounds.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Ashley Tutzauer
School: Cabrini University
Class: Junior
Position: Guard
Hometown: Toms River, N.J.
High School: Toms River North
Brief Outlook of Week: Tutzauer had a loaded stat line through a two-game week, including a league victory over Gwynedd Mercy. She had 14 rebounds, eight rebounds and two blocks, defensively, in the two games, while adding 41 points and four assists. Against the Griffins, she had nine rebounds, four steals, two blocks, 19 points, and three assists.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jordan Rook (Immaculata / Freshman / Guard): Rook matched her career-high in back-to-back games scoring 18 points in a pair of victories over Wesley and Neumann, which also boosted the freshman over the 10 point per game plateau as she now averages 10.3 points per contest. Against Wesley on Wednesday evening, Rook retrieved four rebounds while adding two assists and a pair of steals. On Saturday afternoon, Rook added six rebounds and two steals in the victory over Neumann.
Jourdyn Beverly (Wesley / Senior / Forward): Beverly totaled 30 points and 12 rebounds in two league games last week, while shooting 68 percent from the floor. She dropped in a season-high 19 points against Marywood, while adding seven rebounds.
Savannah Purdy (Marywood / Freshman / Guard): Purdy led Marywood to its first Atlantic East victory in an 85-57 decision over Wesley. The freshman guard doubled her total season production with 27 points. Entering the game with a previous career high of just seven points, Purdy made 11-of-14 shots for a 78.5 field-goal percentage. She hit all three of her three-point attempts and added three steals.
