Lannon, McShea Collect Final Women's Basketball Weekly Honors of 2019
LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the final Women's Basketball Players of the Week of 2019 on Monday, as Cabrini University's Kate Lannon was tabbed Player of the Week and Marymount University's Katie McShea pulled in Defensive Player of the Week.

Class: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Aston, Pa.
High School: Sun Valley
Brief Outlook of Week: Lannon helped lead the Cavs to a 75-57 victory over Kean in their only game this week. The junior turned in a complete performance as she tallied 18 points and a team-high nine rebounds in just 23 minutes of action. Lannon chipped in three assists and two blocks to round out her effort, while shooting 53 percent from the floor.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Katie McShea
School: Marymount University
Class: Sophomore
Position: Forward
Hometown: Hainesport, N.J.
High School: Bishop Eustace Prep
Brief Outlook of Week: McShea led Marymount to a 1-1 record in the Daytona Beach Shootout, with the win coming against Lynchburg, 60-56. She tallied a double-double, her seventh of the year, in the win with 19 points and 12 rebounds. She added three blocks and a steal, in the game, as well. McShea added 16 points and five rebounds in the team's loss to Centre. Defensively for the two games, she totaled three blocks, a steal and 17 rebounds.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Denise Sacco (Gwynedd Mercy / Senior / Guard): Sacco scored a career-high 23 points in the Griffins win over Keystone. The senior also totaled 12 points against Alvernia for a two-win week for the Griffins, totaling 35 points, three steals, four assists, and five rebounds.
