Pratt's Song Named Women's Tennis Player of the Week

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women’s Tennis weekly award winners on Monday, as Pratt’s Judith Song was named Player of the Week.

Hometown: Sharon, Mass.
High School: Sharon
Brief Outlook of Week: Song stepped into the top pairing for the first time this season and helped guide Pratt team to a 6-1 home victory over Baruch on Saturday to keep the Cannoneers remain undefeated at 9-0. Song partnered with Pallavi Verghese to complete the team doubles sweep behind a hard-fought 7-5 win at the No. 1 flight. She carried that momentum into singles action, battling to a straight-set 6-4, 6-3 triumph at the No. 2 spot.


Weekly Honor Roll:
Laura Pharo, Immaculata:
Pharo helped lead the Immaculata women's tennis team to a pair of wins this week, going 2-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles. On Friday, she won her singles match 6-3, 7-5, and won her doubles match with her partner 6-2 helping Immaculata to a 4-3 win over Arcadia. She followed that on Saturday, helping lead Immaculata to a 5-2 AEC win over Neumann, winning her singles match 7-6 (6-4), 6-2, and her doubles match 6-3.
