HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Lacrosse weekly award winners on Monday as Immaculata’s Jason Smaron was named Player of the Week and Marymount's Connor Howard was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week: Jason Smaron
School: Immaculata
Class: Sophomore
Position: Attack
Hometown: Philadelphia, Pa.
High School: Father Judge
Brief Outlook of Week: Smaron totaled eight points across two games for Immaculata, recording four goals and four assists. He led the way in Wednesday’s win over Albright with three goals and three assists, then followed up with a goal and an assist against Marymount. 

Defensive Player of the Week: Connor Howard
School: Marymount
Class: Freshman
Position: Goalie
Hometown: North Wales, Pa.
High School: North Penn
Brief Outlook of Week: Howard earned the win in the net for the Saints over preseason favorite Immaculata Friday night. Allowing just six goals, the first-year knocked away 15 saves on 33 shots faced, picking up nine ground balls along the way, posting a .714 save percentage.
 

Weekly Honor Roll:
Josh Devine, Gwynedd Mercy: Devine finished a 1-1 week with 5 goals, 16 shots, 5 ground balls, and 1 caused turnover. In an 8-3 AEC win over Marywood, he recorded 4 goals on 11 shots. He also recovered a ground ball in the effort.

Matthew Ludlow, Immaculata: Ludlow anchored Immaculata defensively with 31 saves and 19 ground balls across two games. He recorded 13 saves and eight ground balls in Wednesday’s win over Albright, then followed with an impressive 18 saves and 11 ground balls in Friday’s AEC matchup against Marymount.

Santino Rossitto, Marymount: Rossitto put up three points against AEC preseason favorite Immaculata Friday night. Putting up the big blow, Rossitto netted the double overtime goal to give the Saints the win, while notching five caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Luke Ament, Marywood: In his only game of the week, Ament won 13 of 16 faceoffs for a .813 winning percentage against Misericordia. The sophomore collected eight ground balls as the Pacers fell 7-6 to the Cougars.
