Centenary's Frei and Marywood's Trager Awarded Baseball Weekly Award Honors

HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball weekly award winners on Monday, with Centenary’s Joseph Frei being named Player of the Week and Marywood's Noah Trager being named Pitcher of the Week.

Player of the Week: Joseph Frei
School: Centenary
Class: Junior
Position: Outfielder
Hometown: Hawthorne, N.J.
Brief Outlook of Week: Frei batted .454 (10-22), with 13 runs scored, 10 walks, five RBIs, three stolen bases, two doubles, and one triple. He helped lead a 4-3 week, going undefeated in conference play, posting 23 put outs with no errors.

Pitcher of the Week: Noah Trager
School: Marywood
Class: Sophomore
Position: Pitcher
Hometown: Schnecksville, Pa.
High School: Parkland
Brief Outlook of Week: Trager pitched eight shutout innings over two games, allowing just three hits, .5 WHIP, and a .115 opposing batting average. He pitched four innings of relief to capture a win over New Jersey City. Trager came in to pitch another four hitless innings in a rubber match win over Regent. The relief finished 1-0 with a save and four strikeouts.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Dylan Ganey, Gwynedd Mercy: 
Ganey was strong out of the Gwynedd bullpen. He totaled 5.2 IP and held his opponents to just three hits and three walks, while registering eight strikeouts. He earned a win in the second game of the doubleheader with Neumann as he held the Knights scoreless in the middle four innings of an 8-4 victory; he allowed three hits and three walks, while striking out six in the performance.

Colin Buckley, Marymount: The first-year earned his first save of his career in the rubber match against Immaculata on Sunday. Tossing 3.2 innings in relief, the righty allowed just three hits, no runs, while striking out three. 

Anthony Farmakides, Marymount: Farmakides continued his hot streak at the plate for the Saints, helping to a series win over Immaculata. Batting .600 across three games, the graduate student punched six hits with three doubles and a home run, slugging at a 1.200 clip. He knocked in four RBI’s and added a stolen bag. 

Anthony Rakotz, Neumann: Rakotz hit .500 (5-for-10) with three runs scored, four walks, two RBI and two steals as Neumann opened conference action 1-2. During the doubleheader, the junior went 2-for-3 in each game. 

Aidan Folsom, Saint Elizabeth: Folsom was able to pitch to shutdown baseball this past week in his lone appearance. Not allowing an earned run to cross, across two innings while striking out two.

Cameron Vicari, Saint Elizabeth: It was another big week for Vicari this week, batting 6 for 12 on the week (.500), with a .750 SLG%, and a .500 OB%, along with hitting a crucial Grand Slam on Wednesday against PSU-Abington, which would ultimately be the deciding factor in the game.
