HADDONFIELD, N.J. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball weekly award winners on Monday, with Anthony Farmakides of Marymount being named Player of the Week and Gwynedd Mercy’s Michael Inglisa being named Pitcher of the Week.
Player of the Week: Anthony Farmakides
School: Marymount
Class: Graduate Student
Position: First Baseman
Hometown: Falls Church, Va.

Brief Outlook of Week: Farmakides went 4-for-7 across Marymount's double header with Lycoming last weekend, knocking a double and drawing a walk to continue his hot start at the plate. He batted a .571 average, while slugging .714.
Pitcher of the Week: Michael Inglisa
School: Gwynedd Mercy
Class: Junior
Position: Pitcher
Hometown: Delran, N.J.
High School: Delran
Brief Outlook of Week: Inglisa went six strong (6.0 IP) with three walks and two earned runs in seven innings against the Gators; he struck out seven in the game-one win (1-0) over Notre Dame University of Maryland.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Jimmy DeCarlo, Gwynedd Mercy: DeCarlo was 3-for-8, with two runs and four RBI’s, in a double-header sweep of the Notre Dame University of Maryland. He was 2-for-4 with an RBI in the 5-2 game-one, and 1-for-4 game two with two runs and three RBI’s.
Jay Wandell, Marymount: Wandell, in his second start of the year, tossed 5.0 innings against Lycoming on Saturday, allowing just one earned run while striking out three.
John Santomassino, Saint Elizabeth: Santomassino came in for relief in the Battle of Madison Ave. against FDU-Florham, pitching 2.1 innings, striking out five Devils, and not allowing an earned run to cross the plate.
Trevor Policastro, Saint Elizabeth: Policastro was a key for the Eagles on offense, batting .500 (3 for 6), including a solo home run, drawing two walks, and going 1-1 on stolen bases. Policastro also pitched 0.2 of an inning for the Eagles, striking out one FDU-Florham batter in that appearance.
