LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Lacrosse weekly award winners on Tuesday, as Marywood’s Nick Ericson and Neumann’s Owen Avelar earn Player and Defensive Player of the Week Honors.   

Player of the Week:
Name: Nick Ericson
School: Marywood
Class: Senior
Position: Midfield
Hometown: Ashburn, Va.
High School: Broad Run
Brief Outlook of Week: Ericson led the Pacers to a 15-8 win over Keystone with six goals and two assists for eight points. He went 15 of 27 (.555) at the faceoff-x and contributed four ground balls. Tied at 7-7 in the third quarter, Ericson led an 8-1 run to close out the game with three goals and two assists.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Owen Avelar
School: Neumann
Class: Sophomore
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: Audubon, Pa.   
High School: Methacton
Brief Outlook of Week: Avelar made 15 saves in an 8-4 win over Alvernia in the lone game of the week. The sophomore tallied a .789 save percentage in game of the week.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Dillon McManus (Gr., Attack, Cabrini): McManus scored or assisted 8 of the Cavaliers' 15 goals against DeSales. The graduate student provided 4 helpers and 4 goals, 3 of which came in the fourth quarter. He also collected 2 ground balls in Cabrini's home victory.

Brayden Skipper (So., Goalkeeper, Cabrini): Skipper tied his career-high in saves during Cabrini's matchup with DeSales. The sophomore goalkeeper faced 40 total shots, saved 13, and allowed just 6 to pass. Skipper covered or collected 4 ground balls on the day.
