Marywood's Scibello and Pieters snag final Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men’s Lacrosse weekly award winners on Monday, as Marywood’s John Scibello and Wil Pieters won Player and Defensive Player of the Week honors respectively.

Brief Outlook of Week: Scibello led the Pacers to a second-half 13-12 comeback win over Neumann with six goals and an assist for seven points. Tied at 9-9 in the fourth quarter, Scibello scored two goals in a seven-second span. Marywood's all-time leading goals and points scorer tallied the eventual game-winning goal on a man-up chance with 2:22 remaining. Scibello also contributed seven ground balls.

Brief Outlook of Week: Pieters led Marywood to a 13-12 win over Neumann with five ground balls and three caused turnovers. He caused a pair of turnovers in a 1:07 span late in fourth quarter.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Seth Panowitz (So., Immaculata): Seth Panowitz, had six ground balls, and three caused turnovers in Immaculata's AEC win over Centenary.

Jake Methlie (Sr., Neumann): Jake Methlie went 11-for-18 (61.1%) from faceoffs in a 13-12 loss against the Pacers to wrap up the season. The senior also picked up seven ground balls.

Jason Smaron (Fr., immaculata): Jason Smaron scored four goals and added two assists for six points, with five shots on goal, three ground balls, and one caused turnover in Immaculata's AEC win over Centenary.

Bryan Maguire (Sr., Marymount): Bryan Maguire put up eight points in the Saints final regular season outing on Wednesday at Gwynedd Mercy, helping the Saints take down the Griffins by a final tally of 17-5 to pick up momentum before the Atlantic East Tournament. He secured the game winning goal, alongside posting a caused turnover and ground ball.

Brendan Boschi (Jr., Neumann): Brendan Boschi scored six goals and added an assist as Neumann wrapped up the season falling 13-12 at Marywood. He also led the team with 15 shots, 11 on goal. The junior scored the first four goals for the Knights and five of the first six.
