LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Soccer Players of the Week on Monday for the week ending on October 22^nd. Player of the Week honors go to Marymount’s Laney Placido, while teammate Hannah Mockenhaupt was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Brief Outlook of Week: In the Saints' 2-0 week, graduate student Laney Placido led the charge for the surging team. Notching a goal in a non-conference match at Mary Baldwin on Wednesday, the Annapolis, Md. native followed it up being a part of both Marymount goals on Saturday in a significant win over Marywood. Assisting the first goal to take the lead, Placido gave MU the needed insurance in penalty fashion to give way to the shutout win over the Pacers.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Hannah Mockenhaupt
School: Marymount
Class: Junior
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: Fairfax, Pa.
High School: James W. Robinson
Brief Outlook of Week: Junior Hannah Mockenhaupt was a wall in the net for the Saints in their 2-0 week. Earning a pair of shutouts, one over AEC foe Marywood, she knocked away eight total saves over the course of both matches. She now has five shutouts to her credit on the season.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Chloe Britton (Gr., Forward, Neumann): Britton scored three goals in a 1-0-1 week for the Knights. In a 5-3 win at Immaculata, the graduate student scored the insurance goal in the 80th minute. She followed with two goals in a 2-2 tie with Gwynedd Mercy. Britton scored a goal in each half, both times bringing Neumann even with the Griffins.

Riley Mulherin (Jr., Forward, Marywood): Mulherin finished with a goal and an assist in a 1-1 week for the Pacers. She scored three points in a 3-0 win over Gwynedd Mercy with a goal and an assist.

Blaise Vallorosi (Sr., Forward, Centenary): Vallorosi scored three goals and added an assist in a 2-0 week for the Cyclones. She had an assist and a goal in a 3-0 win over Cabrini and followed that up with a two goals in a 8-1 victory over Pratt.
