Caldarelli, Navarro Selected as Women's Soccer Weekly Award Winners

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Soccer Players of the Week on Tuesday for the week ending on September 24th. Player of the Week honors go to Immaculata's Kelsey Caldarelli, while Neumann's Alexis Navarro was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Player of the Week:
Name: Kelsey Caldarelli
School: Immaculata
Class: Junior
Position: Midfield
Hometown:  Elkton, Md.
High School:  Elkton
Brief Outlook of Week: Caldarelli scored Immaculata's first three goals in the Mighty Macs 4-0 win over Penn State-Abington on Wednesday, September 20th. She had four shots on goal during the game. Caldarelli has now scored goals in three consecutive games.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Alexis Navarro
School: Neumann
Class: Sophomore
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: Valley Stream, N.Y.
High School: Valley Stream
Brief Outlook of Week:  Navarro made five saves as Neumann tied Cedar Crest 0-0 in the lone game of the week. The sophomore faced nine shots overall with four going wide and one hitting the cross bar.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Riley Mulherin (Jr., Forward, Marywood): Mulherin led the Pacers to a 1-0-1 week with two goals and an assist. She scored a goal and an assist in Marywood's 4-2 win over Alvernia. Trailing by a goal, the Clarks Summit, Pa. native slid a ball past a defender to set up Josie Sorce's game-tying tally. Mulherin added a goal in a 2-2 draw against Kean.  

Liliana Flores (Centenary): On the week, Liliana recorded a total of five goals through two games and one assists. In the game against PSU - Schuylkill, Flores posted four goals and an assist. 

Natalie Gablein (So., Goalkeeper, Gwynedd Mercy): Gablein totaled eight saves in a win, splitting her 90:00 minutes between first halves of games with Clark Summit University (2 saves, WIN) and Cairn University (6 saves).

Samantha Seidito (So., Defense, Immaculata): Played the full 90 minutes in Immaculata's 4-0 win over Penn State-Abington, part of the Mighty Macs defensive that did not allow a shot on goal for PSU-Abington.
