INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Marymount women's soccer team was part of the 64-team field for the 2025 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Championship Tournament, as announced by the NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Committee Monday morning.
This is the Saint's second-ever time making the tournament, as they are set to face off against Washington & Lee in first-round action Saturday, November 15, at 11:00 a.m. in Lexington, Va.
Marymount (11-8-2) won the Atlantic East title, recording a dominant 4-0 win against Gwynedd Mercy to earn the conference's automatic bid to the tournament. This Saint's last appearance came in 2023 after defeating Marywood in the AEC Championship by a score of 1-0, before bowing out to Christopher Newport in the first round. Freshman Arianna Blanco leads the team with 11 goals on the season.
Washington & Lee (16-2-2) is making its ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, its fourth consecutive appearance. The Generals made a run into the Sweet Sixteen last year, bowing out in the first round the prior two years.
The winner of the Washington & Lee-Marymount game will face the winner of Carnegie Mellon (9-4-5) and Scranton (15-2-3) on Sunday, November 16 at 6:00 p.m. The national semifinals will take place in Salem, Va., on Thursday, December 4., followed by the Championship game on Saturday, December 6 at 12:00 p.m.
