LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Soccer Players of the Week on Monday for the week ending on October 8
th. Player of the Week honors go to Marywood’s Riley Mulherin, while Cabrini’s Caroline Hassall was named Defensive Player of the Week.

Name: Riley Mulherin
School: Marywood
Class: Junior
Position: Forward
Hometown: Clarks Summit, Pa.
High School: Abington Heights
Brief Outlook of Week: Mulherin scored both goals in Marywood's 2-1 win over Lancaster Bible. She scored the game-winning goal on a 35-yard free kick in the 82nd minute. She had a shot on goal in the Pacers' 1-1 draw with Neumann. Mulherin's 10th goal of the season puts her at career highs for goals and points.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Caroline Hassall
School: Cabrini
Class: Junior
Position: Goalkeeper
Hometown: Norristown, .Pa.
High School: Wissahickon
Brief Outlook of Week: Hassall was lights out on the week with two shutouts in a 1-0-1 conference week for the Cavaliers. She tallied 11 saves across a tie with Gwynedd Mercy and a 2-0 win against Marymount while not allowing a goal in 180 minutes of work.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Sarah Andreano (Fy., Goalkeeper, Neumann): Andreano made seven saves in her first collegiate start and allowed one goal in a 1-1 tie at Marywood as the Knights opened conference action 1-0-1. The one goal the first year let in came off a corner kick by the Pacers.
Jaclyn Burmood (So., Defense, Neumann): Burmood scored the game-winning goal in a 4-3 win over Centenary to open conference action. The sophomore finished with four shots for the week as Neumann went 1-0-1 in Atlantic East play. Burmood’s goal broke a 3-3 tie in the 82nd minute for the road win.
Leila Lajdel (Jr., Midfielder, Marymount): Lajdel notched the game-winner in Wednesday’s conference win over Immaculata. It was her second goal of the season.
Madisson Ronn (So., Goalkeeper, Gwynedd Mercy): Ronn in her one start of the week made nine saves to preserve a 0-0 tie against Cabrini.
