Women's Soccer 11/1/2021 12:18:38 PM Centenary Sweeps Women's Soccer Players of the Week LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Women's Soccer weekly awards on Monday, naming Centenary's Cassandra Ferguson offensive player of the week and Chelsea Estacio defensive player of the week. Offensive Player of the Week: Name: Cassandra Ferguson School: Centenary University Class: Freshman Position: Forward Hometown: Neptune, NJ High School: Neptune Brief Outlook of Week: Ferguson posted four goals in two games to lead the Cyclones to a 1-0-1 mark last week. She started her week with three goals in the Cyclones' 4-0 win at Gwynedd Mercy. It was the freshman's first hat trick and third multi goal game of the year. She was credited with the game-winning goal in the contest. On Saturday in a 1-1 double overtime tie with Cabrini, Ferguson came up huge as her team and Atlantic East leading 11th goal of the year tied the score at 1-1. Ferguson's goal came just 25 seconds after Cabrini had scored. Defensive Player of the Week: Name: Chelsea Estacio School: Centenary University Class: Junior Position: Goalie Hometown: Dover, NJ High School: Dover Brief Outlook of Week: Estacio had a big week with 11 saves as she led the Cyclones to a 1-0-1 mark to close out the regular season. She had a 0.45 goals against average and a .917 save percentage in the two games combined. Estacio made three saves in the road win at Gwynedd Mercy to post the shutout. It was her 8th career shutout that moved her into fifth on the career shutouts list at Centenary. On Saturday, Estacio made eight huge saves to give the Cyclones a 1-1 double overtime draw with Cabrini. Weekly Honor Roll: Ashley Tutzauer (Cabrini / GR / Goalie): Tutzauer tallied 8 saves last week, as Cabrini went 1-0-1. The grad student recorded 7 saves in a 2-0 win at Marymount, her 7th shutout of the year. She added another save in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Centenary.
