Immaculata's Wright and Marywood's Notari Baseball Tabbed Player and Pitcher of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Baseball weekly award winners on Tuesday, as Immaculata’s Joey Wright and Marywood’s Nick Notari earn Player and Pitcher of the Week honors respectively.

Player of the Week:

Brief Outlook of Week: Wright was a combined 10-for-18 (.556) with eight runs scored, two doubles, a home run, and 12 RBIs over four games. He was 3-for-5 with three runs scored, a double, and four RBIs vs Marywood on March 25th. He was 2-for-6 with two runs scored, a home run, and six RBIs vs Stockton on March 26th. He was 3-for-3 with a run scored, a double, and two RBIs vs Centenary in game one of their doubleheader and was 2-for-4 with two runs scored in game two of their doubleheader with Centenary on March 28th.

Brief Outlook of Week: Notari pitched an efficient 77-pitch complete game performance to lead the Pacers to an 8-1 win over Neumann. He did not allow an earned run in seven innings, allowing six hits and a walk. Notari struck out four batters. For the week, he had a 1-0 record with a 0.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Mateo Arteaga (Fy., Pitcher, Gwynedd Mercy): Arteaga held Gettysburg scoreless in four innings of relief. He allowed a hit and walked two while striking out four.

Aidan Hixenbaugh (Sr., Pitcher, Centenary): Hixenbaugh pitched four innings allowing just three hits against Kean. He allowed no earned runs in his 1-0 week.

Jonathan Mcmath (Jr., First Base/DH, Marymount): Junior Jonathan McMath hit at a .462 clip, while slugging .846, in the Saints' 2-1 week. Punching his first home run of the season, alongside a triple, McMath collected six total RBI through the three games.

Christian Strickland (Gr., Catcher, Cabrini): Strickland cleared the left field fence for walk-off homerun that broke a 12-inning tie between Marymount and Cabrini. With 2 solo homers in the game, he hit 3 for 6, scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 runs in the second matchup between the Cavs and Saints. In the final game of the season series, Strickland went 1 for 3 with a walk and a run. The catcher recorded 24 putouts and 3 assists behind the dish across the 3-game slate.
