LANCASTER, Pa. - The Atlantic East Conference announced the Men's Soccer Players of the Week on Monday for the week ending on October 1^st. Marymount teammates swept the awards as Leonardo Torres and Reece Ventura were named Player and Defensive Player of the Week respectively.

Player of the Week:
Name: Leonardo Torres
School: Marymount

Position: Forward
Hometown: Manassas, Va.
High School: Stonewall Jackson
Brief Outlook of Week: Torres continued his hot start to the season by extending his goals streak to four last week. Against Catholic, he tallied the game-winning goal in a 3-2 win over the Cardinals in the Pope's Cup. It was Marymount's first win over Catholic since 2007. On Saturday in the conference opener against Gwynedd Mercy, he added two more goals, bringing his season total up to nine.

Defensive Player of the Week:
Name: Reece Ventura
School: Marymount
Class: Senior
Position: Defense
Hometown:. Sacramento, Calif.
High School: Pleasant Grove
Brief Outlook of Week: Ventura has continued to excel from his wing back position, transitioning defensive plays into offensive opportunities on the other end. He had an assist against Catholic on Wednesday before adding his third goal of the season against Gwynedd Mercy on Saturday. He was also part of the defense that picked up its third shutout of the season against the Griffins.

Weekly Honor Roll:
Josh Fonder (Gr., Forward, Immaculata) – Fonder scored three goals and added one assist in leading Immaculata to a 7-0 win over Valley Forge on September 28th. Had two shots on goal vs Susquehanna on September 26th.
