ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Men's Soccer team blanked Marymount University in the Atlantic East Conference championship game on Saturday afternoon, winning by a score of 2-0, and grabbing their third conference title in a row.

For the second season in a row, the Knights and Saints clashed in the title game and today's matchup showed how well the two teams knew each other. In the 38th minute, Jason DiFilippo cleared the ball from his end and connected to Josh Moreland. He lifted the ball to Zion Atta-Krah who beat his defender and rolled in his sixth goal of the season for the 1-0 lead. The lead held until the dying seconds of the half when the Knights broke in on a three-on-one, spearheaded by Moreland. He passed to Owen Rem who then crossed to Conor McCarthy and he put in his second of the season. Marymount tried to push back in the second but could not threaten the Knights lead.

AJ Henry was named Most Valuable Player, making two saves for his eighth shut out of the season. Jordan Illian led in shots with four.

Neumann (13-3-3) wins their fourth Atlantic East Conference championship and their seventh overall conference crown. They also clinch an automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III National Tournament. The NCAA selection show will be on Monday at 11:30 AM on ncaa.com.
